I would suggest that first, one rules out the possibility of other reasons
why the baby is not gaining well. If he is latching on  well and the supply
is good, his weight gain would be better, so obviously something is up.  I
would suggest putting her on Fenugreek and blessed thistle, 3 caps 3 x per
day, and using a pump maybe 6 times a day or so, not at night,
perhaps....and using the expressed milk at breast with a simple #5 feeding
tube, 36" in length, ..one end taped to the end of the breast/nipple, the
other sitting in a bottle of EBM...a la Jack Newman MD. See

Very simple and cheap.  Pumping with a hospital grade pump several times a
day will increase her supply. My experience is that moms find this fairly
easy, with the tube, as it is a low tech intervention. The herbs will help
also, or even Domperidone (*as per Jack Newman MD at the above web
site)....might be the best idea.
