(Giggling)  Although I do agree with the sentiment that babies also nurse for reasons other than food and that bonding takes place regardless of food...  I was also wondering how I'd convey that message in my little corner of the world. I live in the US (Northeast) and in the circles I move, food is equated to love even when there are no babies in sight.  While it is much more evident in the Italian branch of the family, most of the other people I interact with don't seem to find this type of expression foreign.
