Mea culpa - - blessed thistle and milk thistle are two different plants.
Hale 2002 also lists milk thistle as L3, categorizes it as a
hepatoprotectorant and also cites its antioxidant properties.  It has low
oral bioavailability; per Hale, teas are ineffective.  Adults have
experienced allergic reactions and mild GI intolerance.  Do not know how
this plant would help in areolar edema but am open to the possibilities if
safe.
