Could be. But not per se.
As far as I know babywise has not yet reached The Netherlands (correct me if
I/m wrong Renate ;-)) ), but in The Netherlands mothers are told at the doc's
office and in magazines that babies of an "x" age and a "y" bodyweight should
only be fed for "z" number of times. Than, if baby is not gaining as the
books say he should, m,om's milk is no good or she's loosing milk and is
advised to supplement.
The hcp's that know better are few and far between.

Just the other the leading parents magazine had a story on breastfeeding and
vacation trips, how easy bf is when on vacation etc. But advised moms to feed
baby water if the weather is hot and to take a tin of formula ''in case bf
suddenly doesn't work anymore''.
