A while back i posted about the fact that over the last 9 years, i have seen
condesation in almost all types of breastpump tubing. whether they had
filters, barriers or not. my cure is to take the tubes off at the end of
each day disconnect filters etc. and shake out condesation, if any let dry
overnight. on the pns by taking off the diaphram cover is also seems like a
good idea.

if any of you remember, early science class experiments about dew points.
when ever you have warm moist air (mothers milk going into a bottle & air
moving back and forth.) going over a cooler surface the moisture will drop
out onto the surface (plastic tubes and parts). this effect would be even
greater during the hot humid summers we have in the a great part of the us.

Telling my patients this seems to have solved any problemns, and as of this
date none of my pns patients have had any complaints.
