This happened to me in the early 90's - and tho at the time I felt
horrible , I 'swallowed' the stuff from my partner saying I had a problem
with 'needing to be in control' and wasn't 'flexible' etc - I had some
dear LC friends at the time who pointed out that these weren't
necessarily negatives - and since my partner wasn't an LC (she was the
business admin partner but tried to influence my decisions) that I needed
to have 'control' over my practice - that I was the one who was
responsible - I was the one with malpractice insurance, etc. Within a
year I had opened my own private practice - and was vastly more
successful on my own.

So these type situations may seem like a 'step backward' or a negative at
the time - that is not the final outcome!
