It's my understanding that Baby Friendly - which is an international
standard - dos not expect any unit to prevent pacifiers or formula
getting anywhere near a baby whose mother wants them. The mother has
to have the issues explained to her, and this explanation has to be
documented, of course.

However, there are Baby Friendly hospitals, and not just in the
developing world either, where there are no pacifers and no formula,
except what a mother brings in or has sent in for her use.

Makes sense to me : ) Shame about those doctors : (
