Someone asked "Why would M-J market this stuff?"

One possible answer: in the US, only "standard" formulas are regulated by
the Infant Formula Act of 1980.
"Regulated" in this case has been done with a minimalist approach, I
understand.

None, repeat NONE, of the "specialty" formulas are regulated AT ALL.

Think about this situation:
Fact #1: more moms are Breastfeeding. BF is becoming politically correct in
many areas.
Fact #2: the market for standard formula is decreasing and there's a lot of
competition.

Therefore: Where would a company (legally liable to its shareholders to
maximize profit) look to making more money?
Answer: developing and/expanding product lines OTHER than the standard
formulas, especially if the product is not subject to existing regulation.

Seems logical to me from a business perspective.

GAG!!!!! ARGGGHHHHHHH! And ACKKKKKKKK!
