is was my observation for my children (3) also.  Same pattern only no 
oversupply issues that I know of.  In the beginning they gained 2 oz a day and then 
tapered off but were normally fat with dimples.   I could count on the once a 
week (5-7 days) poop <<

Absolutely my experience as well, with my own and babies I've seen.   All 3 
of mine were big gainers and infrequent poopers once they hit about 1 mth of 
age.
