"this makes two cases I know of where a baby was placed in foster
care for failure to thrive, as a result of this bad publicity" says our
lawyer friend. I cannot restrain myself. Why are these mothers not being
encouraged to sue for huge damages for what has been so needlessly and
negligently done to their breastfed babies, their present lives and their
future health? When will some of the many bovine-milk-exposed babies with
gut malabsorption problems that grow up into Crohn's disease or develop
diabetes etc (or just need multiple surgery over 20 years to deal with
partial obstructions and the rest).. when will they sue the people who have
so persistently and negligently overlooked the fact that any stud breeder
would know, that artificial feeding is automatically harmful(in greater or
less degree, but harmful, distorting of normal developemnt immunologically,
biochemically..) to the normal physiological development of nay mammal? How
dare anyone take a breastfed baby from its mother? If she needs help, she
needs it with her baby. If her baby needs help, baby needs it with mother.

Thank goodness Marianne and Elizabeth could help this mother, and good on
them for so doing, though I did not find it surprising that this was
unpaid: all such testimony for mothers seems to be down under! (And I find
it is becoming more frequent with custody cases.) But what of all the other
mothers whose lives are destroyed and whose children are damaged. What
about a charter for breastfeeding rights that binds so-called social
welfare agencies to respect these bonds? There's a project for ILCA.
