Hi Linda,

I think I had a similar situation. Mom was exclusively pumping for a baby
who never was able to transfer milk, and about 6 months into it began
pumping very pink milk which seemed to come from one duct. The milk was
very pink and her family was thoroughly grossed out. But as medically it
was fine, she continued to bottle feed it to her baby, and he did not seem
to mind. His diapers were different after he had a bottle with a lot of
blood in it. If the pumped milk sat, the bottom ounce of the bottle would
be red, and the rest would be white- the blood had settled. Sometimes it
did not bleed the entire pumping session. At some point it began to vaguely
hurt her, at which point I recommended it be checked out. It was absolutely
nothing. We just surmised breasts are meant to be nursed from, not pumped!
It did go away eventually after about two months. And it did not bleed
every day either, just a few times a week.

In your case, I would ignore it if they have determined it is nothing.
