Hi Jessica,
This may require some detective work. It appears that between 7/23 when
baby was gaining well and 8/2, something significant happened. **7/23 she
was 8#2oz. 8/3 mom reports shes lost her milk supply.**
I also thought of depo shot or other hormonal contraception like the patch
which is estrogen. Was there formula supplementation going on during that
time? Was the baby sleeping alot at night and /or someone else feeding baby
at night? Sometimes I have mother's tell me, for example, they are pumping
every 2 hrs and when I ask them what about at night they tell me they don't
pump between 10 p and 8a!
The other thing in the literature is (I think it is ) retained theca lutein
cyst, there was at least one JHL article describing this. Any use of herbal
or mint foods, teas, candies or psuedoephedrine allergy or decongestant
meds? If you haven't asked specifically she may not volunteer that as a
medicine.
