I use the Ontario BestStart resource quite a bit to demonstrate normal
intake/output, weight loss and weight gain in the neonate.

I would suggest that 10% - 12% is too high!  We  work on  the 7% margin
and anything over that needs assessment and gets referred to our
service.

I work in a secondary/tertiary maternity unit and clearly see the
difference between physiological birth and medicalised birth re initial
neonatal weight loss.
