Please note that these studies do not contain an exclusively breastfed (from
birth) reference group.  Therefore they do not have a group that has never
been exposed to foods or fluids other than breastmilk before beginning
solids.
This is a major flaw in the research.  The WHO has not changed its
recommendations.  Other bodies may be reviewing theirs in light of this
research but please follow the money ... who is funding these studies and
who is doing the lobbying?  You'll find the usual suspects, Danone (Numico)
Pfizer (Wyeth) & Nestle.
