Hi Carrie (and fellow LactNetters),

I'm a new CLE and a new LLLL, but I have nursed four children into
various stages of life and been a longtime breastfeeding enthusiast.
I've done LOTS of reading through my 12 years as a parent, not just
for my certifications but for the joy and interest in learning about
breastfeeding. If I had to recommend just one book to a new mom, I
would go with the new Womanly Art of Breastfeeding. It is
comprehensive without being overwhelming, and it inspires confidence
rather than instilling a fear of all the "what-ifs." I have met a few
first-time moms going through Bradley childbirth classes who also
gave it rave reviews, too. It has been completely rewritten and has a
really nice, modern tone that I think new mothers can relate to.

Just my $.02!

Thanks to all in this fabulous community...I learn so much by reading
LactNet, and it reminds me of just how much I still need to learn!
