IBLCE has a link on its website for a Guide to Recertification. Right
there, paragraph 2, page 1, it says: "Once initially certified, a
certificant holds the IBCLC certification for five years. At the five-year
mark, a certificant can recertify by re-examination or by earning
continuing education recertification points (CERPs)."

The need to demonstrate varied hours of course work, lactation-specific
course work and supervised clinical training hours is for first-timers only.
