Having made more than one batch of PINK cole slaw (with the purple cabbage
bleeding into the mixture) in my former career as a caterer/chef, I wouldn't
hesitate to recommend that mothers use only green/white cabbage.  I would
hate to see the kind of stains that mother's milk dribbling into purple
cabbage would make on a mom's bra and clothing!
