I think the problem is  that there aren't good explanations being given to 
the mother as to why they are  being prescribed.  I think the teaching here is a 
bit on the flimsy  side.  She needs to know just "why" the doc thinks she'll 
bleed to death if  she breastfeeds -- not just that she will.
 
I sorta feel as though  this is back to the "don't you worry your pretty 
little head about a thing --  I'm the health professional, and I'll take care of 
you.  Just do what I  say."
 
Saw enough of that (was  taught that was how it was to be) back in the dim 
dark recesses of my nursing  school past.
