This is slightly off topic - but I just found a study concluding that
newborn massage increased weight gain among preterm infants by an average
of 5gm/day, and reduced length of hospital stay by an average of 4 days.
However - in the write-up, the "conclusion" is that there is no benefit to
infant massage in preterm infants.  Hmmmm.....

Does anyone know more about this study?  If the increased weight gain is
real, it seems this is a valuable tool to offer moms with preterm babies -
if adding massage to their daily routine encourages better feedings.

And - my real question, I found this looking for a massage oil suitable for
newborns - anyone have any suggestions?
