**Well said, Jaye. I think this is the core issue in most human 
interactions!! Don't we all want our feelings validated, either those of 
concern or those of sadness or happiness or exuberance or despair or 
whatever...? This is the legacy from being a volunteer bf counsellor for 13 
years that I cherish and bring into my LC-work.

I always tell them that just

**I often tell women/parents: "It's hard to tell how it will work out. Even 
if a certain situation has a 80/20% chance of failure/success... if you are 
in the 20%-group, your success is 100%!
Yeah, right... my math is not all that wonderful, but I think this is right 
nevertheless! hahaha
