From my experience it could be the following could cause early onset of jaundice:
   
  1. ABO
  2. Rh negative in the mother
  3.  Birth trauma (forceps/vacum/other)
  4.  Illness (GBS/other)
  5.  Induced birth (mostly Pitocin)
   
  Hope this will help (sorry it is so condense, but Im using my son's computer and Im running out of batteries) :-)
