Rachel shared an exerpt from the following:

> On the off chance there is someone out there who wasn't raised according to
> The Complete Book of Absolutely Perfect Baby and Child Care by Eleanor
> Goulding Smith, copyright 1957, Harcourt, Brace and Co., let me share the

It wasn't too long and it was "absolutely perfect!!!" What a hoot! Is the
entire book like this? Alas, I wasn't raised according to this, being much
further along in life than being a baby in 1957. However, MY mother raised
me according to a "very progressive" pediatrician of the times who believed
in solid (read: muushy) foods beginning no later than two weeks. I'm sure
the hot pastrami sandwich would have fit into his scheme of things by 3 month
at the very least.

But the last paragraph, as you said, was priceless....

Thanks so much, Rachel for a good Monday morning chuckle.

Jan -- in Wheaton, and trying not to take herself too seriously.
