Wow, Pamela!  Once again you have articulately and thoughtfully added your
knowledge and wisdom to this thread.  Sometimes we need to be reminded of
the true essence of our profession.  It is so easy for the prevailing
attitudes of our culture (whatever that may be) to get in the way of
rational and objective practice.
