Maybe a little miscommunication here... I was not referring to mother's
who threaten to feed these inappropriate things to their children, I was
referring to mothers who already do this and see nothing wrong with it.

And certainly, not only WIC moms, however, this discussion originated
from the suggestion we call our congress person regarding the amount of
Federal money being spent on ABM.

Therefore, those non-wic moms once again slip through the cracks...too
rich to be regularly  questioned, tested, and scrutinised.
Unfortunately in many areas this also makes them too rich to receive
Breastfeeing support or information.



And in my neck of the woods  WIC is participating with LLL and our local
Breastfeeding Coalition to designate breastfeeding friendly HCPs,
Childcare centers and Workplaces.  While a jump from #50 to #49 in
Breastfeeding Initiation may not impress the majority, I too have seen
the individual moms who are part of this increase, and WOW!  I helped
some of them!
