Hi all,
What do you tell new moms to do with frozen expressed colostrum when
transporting it to a tertiary center?
As this mom is usually only 2-3 days post partum, the amounts in each
container are very small. They are traveling about 50 miles. I usually suggest a
small cooler with several freezer packs. Any other ideas? I am revising our
policy and am interested in what others are advising.
TIA,
Judy Hatfield RNC, IBCLC
