Thanks, Rhoda. I like that one. Another one I am fond of using a lot
when couselling mums is also from McKenna - 'We have Stone Age babies
born into a Space Age world'. I mention that our babies have no
concept of being safe in the next room of the house, etc. The
instinct they are born with is that if they are put down, then they
are at risk of being taken by a predator, or that they may have been
abandoned. So it is an inborn *need* to be in constant contact with a
parent at all times, and a baby doesn't feel 'right' if he/she is
not. The 'well-adapted' babies (this is also from McKenna I think)
are the ones who complain long and loud at being separated from their
mums.

I second all that - I have done all three (without leaving
Australia!) and really benefitted! Thank you to the wonderful
speakers who take the trouble to visit us in Australia. (Now looking
forward to Kathryn Dewey and Pamela Morrison in May.)
