This is another one for Coach Smith's list of silly reasons to discontinue
breastfeeding.

I swear I am not making this up! I hope the mother or one of her relatives
was not making it up to use as an excuse!

A co-worker reported that a mother had stopped breastfeeding at two days
"because her doctor is supposed to have told her that the baby had 'acid
reflux', and therefore, breastfeeding would not be in the baby's best
interests, and besides, her diet would double the amount of acid in the
baby's system!!"

Sheesh!! Call me a wimp, but I decided I wouldn't touch that one with a ten
foot pole, and moved on to the next name on the call list.
