Personally I believe the increase is due to the fact that we are into the 
2nd and 3rd generation of non breastfed women, we know it protects mother 
and daughter to breastfeed for a "normal" amount of time.  Now we are 
reaping the harvest of formula feeding.  Better testing leads to more prompt 
diagnosis.  But I still think the fact that we are seeing younger and 
younger women has to do with the length of "any" breastfeeding.  Two to six 
weeks won't cut it.

Are Breast Cancer  rates changing around the world as breastfeeding 
declines?  It will happen to non breastfeeding mothers first and then the 
non breastfed daughters later on, I would think.

BTW-I don't want to get into a vaccine argument, but the women getting 
breast cancer today got a minimum  of vaccinations.
