Dear Carole and all lactnetters,
I have been using the term *request feeding* for a long time.  I also think
demand feeding is not pleasant, making it sound as though the baby is
DEMANDING.  As I speak to parents, I'll simply say feed her at her request.
I get lots of lovely smiles when I say that.
