Has anyone got an e-mail about some final ruling so we health care providers
can finally have a number that pts can use when filing benefits covered by
LC's to insurance companies. No one is really talking yet because maybe it will
cost medical CHAMPUS Blue cross etc. the link is nppes.cms.hhs.gov if you
want to get a number. or go to www.hhs.gov for info on health and human
services. The deadline is May 23rd. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or not
yet. I will wait to hear from you folks. I guess some hospitals want the
individual LC to have a billing number...Again I don't know what it will mean as
far as your own personal coverage (insurance). I'm babbling. I think this is a
step in the right direction for being identified as a entity to ourselves.
Thoughts? You can be private practice as well.
