Can anyone give me a clearer statement about the United States endorsement of
the code? I've searched the archives and the best I could find was a
statement about the US endorsing a 1994 resolution by the World Health
Assembly on the voluntary International Code of Breastmilk Substitutes. That
1994 resolution affirmed the previous resolutions. So, I'm thinking that I
can fairly say that the U.S. endorsed the Code in 1994, right?

I would like to explain the code in simple terms for a CE article I'm writing
with my dh for pharmacists. I want to encourage them to consider the ethical
issues of promoting and selling formula. Any other suggestions you have
about this article, an update on Drugs and Breastfeeding are welcome
(including the obvious - just get Dr. Hale to write it ;-))
