I did not see the article Rob referred to, but the editors paid $25 to a mom
who submitted the following suggestion to the "it worked for me" column:

When I am outside barbecuing or gardening I keep my 3 year old busy by
giving him a large bucket of water and a brush so he can "paint" the house
and patio.

What are these editors thinking? They missed an excellent opportunity to
educate parents about water safety and small children .
