The information that I have regarding the starving girl twin: it was her
MOTHER-IN-LAW who told her she couldn't breastfeed twins. The girl died the
day after the picture was taken. The mother gave permission to publicize the
photo so that others would be spared her suffering. The girl was fed some
local mix, I don't believe it was "that other stuff", something completely
inappropriate, a gruel of some kind. I picked up this information at an
exhibit at the July LLLI conference, I believe from INFACT. I have the
information at work, if anyone would like a photocopy please send me their
snail mail address.
