Good morning all.

I would like to remind you of a few things.

1. Please keep notes short. If you are referring to a situation that was
mentioned previously, please give us a three sentence recap so that those
who are trying to follow notes and situations can do so.

Keep your signature files short too. Do put the place you live in your
signature....it amazes me how many different places people come from.

2. Please remember that there are people on this list who are from all walks
of life, from many different places.  Let us be respectful in our notes...
In our work, many of us watch the "violence" of the sacrifice of
breastfeeding for the mothers we work with.  This viewing of such violence
does not come without cost, without pain to us, and anger (* speaking
personally*) , and although we would like to lash out at those who do the
sacrificing, it does behoove us to remember that on this list, we should
speak in specifics and with respectful tones. No global bashing of any
profession ....

There are many nurses on the list, and many doctors....just as two examples.
Not every nurse, not every doctor, treats breastfeeding issues as serious,
deserving of respect, but that is not a global damnation of those professions.

The way I see it is that we are all here to learn. Let's work on making our
environment friendly, without global accusations.  I am not reacting to one
incident, ...just a friendly reminder.
