I worked for many years in the health department in my hometown. I
remember I don't know how many teens that having that first baby literally
saved their lives. These were young women that were heading down the
wrong roads - no education, drugs, etc etc etc, but somehow, having a baby
really turned them around. It's like they were put on this earth to be that
baby's mother - and they were great mothers, many of them were great
breastfeeders, too. I'm seeing it happen with my own daughter, too. Deb,
RNC, IBCLC
