Lydia, LLL, Netherlands
~~~ The art of medicine consists in amusing the patient while nature cures
the disease. - Voltaire~~
**Very nice quote, Lydia! :-)
Very appealing way of looking at our job... hahaha.
Now we have to define how we could amuse 'our' mothers.
I think it would definitely help, as amusing them will raise their oxytocin
levels, which makes it all a lot easier!
We are supposed to work evidence based, right?! hahaha
By the way... 'patient' comes from the Latin word 'patior', meaning 'to
undergo', 'to endure', 'to put up with'.
How great, to have some amusement, some diversion in the meantime... ;o)
Bye,
Marianne Vanderveen IBCLC, Netherlands
