Doesn't the AAP have a work group on breastfeeding?  I would like to hear what they have to say about the new guidelines as it relates to breastfeeding.  I have no problem with telling a mom that a pacifier can be used once breastfeeding is well established, but what has come across to most new moms is I must use a pacifier to prevent SIDS, and so I must use it right away.  I am sure we will be hearing this from many new moms.  I can hear the telephone calls now.  "well I had to start the paci to prevent SIDS"
