"Infant Nutrition Made Easy" by Dr. Lillian Beard
*T What: Nationally recognized pediatrician Dr. Lillian Beard -- known
for her "Ask Dr. Beard" column in "Good Housekeeping" and as a
frequent guest medical expert for national network television
programs such as "Healthy Kids" and "Good Morning America" -- will
lead an interactive workshop with Chicago parents to discuss
current trends and issues in infant nutrition. Parents need the
most help in deciphering between the myths and realities of:
-- Infant lactose intolerance and milk allergies
-- Baby's calcium and iron requirements
-- How and when to introduce baby to solid foods; food allergies
-- Breastfeeding vs. infant formula
The session, titled "Infant Nutrition Made Easy," will give
Chicago parents the opportunity to learn the facts about infant
nutrition from an acclaimed medical expert who serves as the
national spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics
(AAP). Dr. Beard also is available for an in-studio or
on-location interview.
When: Saturday, November 4 from 1-2 p.m. and 3-4 p.m.
Sunday, November 5 from 1-2 p.m.
