Jan,

I have not looked up the med that you asked about, but I did find another brand
new drug that someone on Lactnet asked about (can't remember who) in
MEDICATIONS AND MOTHERS' MILK, by Thomas Haled, PhD. Fourth edition, which
just came out.

The other med that was asked about is Effexor and in brief what is written is
that the drug has a relavtively short plasma helf-life and limited toxicity in
overdoese. Effect on infant is unreported but observe for anxiety,
nervousness, and insomnia. Long term effects on neurodevelopment in nursing
infants in unknown, but caution is urged. Observe for nausea/vomiting,
dizziness and sleepiness. If the person who wanted to know about this drug
will email me, I can send her the complete info.

Jan, the book is in my office at the hospital and I am home now for the
weekend. If you can't find what you need, let me know and I'll look it up and
see if it's listed when I get back to my office.

Regards,

Yaffa
