I have a friend who showed me a way to use the syringe with no cutting
because we are both mechanically retarded and would lose a finger eventually
trying to cut one. She takes the plunger out of one syringe and attaches a
piece of tubing to the tip then using a second syringe attached to the other
end of the tubing creates pressure with the second syringe. She feels like
the mother has a little more range of motion to get comfortable. She also
chooses the size of the syringe based on the diameter of the nipple ( usually
you can tell even with inverted nipples). I think of this as a very tiny
breast pump.
She has had good results using this technique but I haven't had a truly
inverted nipple to try it on yet. I also would feel more comfortable sending
these directions home with a mother.

A quick comment on the breast tissue implant- I understand that this
tissue is supposed to "grow" - how do they turn it off? Scary thought!
