I got a call from a Girl Scout leader in my region of New Jersey whose troop
had done a project on breastfeeding which included collecting
"Code-acceptable" items that would be useful for a breastfeeding mothers and
bundling them in kits to give away to low-income moms. In the future we hope
to get the Scouts together with the moms at a WIC office...and the leader
pointed out to me that many of our WIC mothers meet the age requirements for
Girl Scout membership and they would be welcome in her troop!
