Ah, thanks - this is the information I was looking for - though it
appears they have only tested latex dummies.

Cheaper, too! I have recently heard of concerns about inhalation of
chlorine compounds from highly-chlorinated swimming pools in pregnancy.
Has there been any research about exposure of very young babies to
hypochlorite from Milton solutions?

On an aside, latex allergy has become an increasing problem in our
society in the past couple of decades, and this rise has been
attributed primarily to the use of Universal Precautions. Could it not
have something to do with the legions of babies exposed for hours a day
to latex teats and dummies/pacifiers?
