Update: Day 14 of stop Newark / Nestle campaign. Nearly 800 signatures representing 37 countries. Keep the signatures coming (link to petition below)

http://www.change.org/petitions/mayor-cory-booker-newark-new-jersey-usa-stop-the-hypocritical-newarknestle-campaign-to-target-childhood-obesity?share_id=HDVyjOmNmk& [log in to unmask],

The Wall Street Journal published an interview with Mayor Booker this morning. He is seeking a 3rd term as Mayor and possibly running for Governor and Senator in the future. His credibility has been shattered by his relationship with Nestle but he refuses to back down. Google "Booker at Crossroads". Keep the pressure on him by posting your comments.

Although Mayor Booker listed (in detail) his "projects" (when interviewed by WSJ) he did not mention the Newark / Nestle program to combat obesity nor does it seem he mentioned the obesity program tonight at his State of the City Address. Do you think he might be feeling uncomfortable about the negative attention being sent his way? Do you think we can convince him to say "No thank you Nestle"? We are giving him an out: "plead ignorant of who Nestle is and what they stand for". And we are trying to help him look at creative ways to partner with his community. Please keep your ideas and help coming. This is a very big issue, that if not cancelled, will have huge ramifications for Newark, other cities in the US and the rest of the world. This is a David and Goliath situation but we can do it.

Renee (Vancouver, Canada)
