I'd say:  let's assume this is a horse, and not a zebra.  Baby is only 6
days old ... Mom didn't BF Days 3-5 ... had glandular activity revving up in
pregnancy. All that confirms what you suggest: axillary breast tissue which
is still figuring out it really isn't needed, thank you very much.  The
cynic is me would say that pulling in a bunch of breast surgeons right
now might trigger all sorts of whacky advice like "stop BF."  Application of
cool packs and cabbage may bring relief, and in 2-3 days I'd guess she'd see
some relief of the discomfort, and a shrinking of the golf balls.
