Hello,
I'm having trouble finding any good resources or studies about appropriate formula volume for formula fed infants in the hospital, and for breastfed infants supplemented with formula. There stomach volume is only 5-7 ml on day one, I'm suggesting that we not feed much more than that. Peds are in an uproar and want sources. Even AAP has very little written about formula volume on days 1-7, almost everything starts at a week. I want not more than 10 ml on day 1 and not more than 20 ml on day 2, which I think is even high, but people think I'm crazy. Any good sources?
