Here is a summary of a national news item here today
(Sunday).
Ministry of Agriculture scientists have admitted that phalates -
chemicals used to soften plastics which can contribute to
falling sperm rates and infertility have been found at higher than
permitted levels in 9 leading brands of formula milk for babies

Officials have not named the brands although the British Medical
Association is urging them to do so.A spokesman (for the Min of
Agric) said phthalate levels were slightly above tolerable daily
intakes but there was no cause for concern. They (Min of Agric again)
urge mothers not to panic. 'A spokesman says there is no need for
concern and that mothers should continue to use milk formula.'

No doubt we will hear more on this.
