Dear Lactnet Friends:

Why can't WIC purchase formula at wholesale prices? Skip all the money
juggling. Companies could still compete for the contracts.


I've heard from WIC staff across the country that the money that is given
back to WIC from the formula companies pays for other services.  When a WIC
director tells me it is a kickback, and when it looks like a kickback, it
probably IS a kickback.
