When my first son was born I wasn't particularly committed to breastfeed.
I had a little bit of luck on my side. Some memories that stand out to me:

-A breastfeeding poster hanging in the hall of a rural clinic that I did a
two month rotation during residency.

-My sister had the first baby and she was an excellent role model as
breastfeeding mother.

-My dh had one lecture on breastfeeding in his medical school. He remembered
breastfed babies were smarter.
