This reminded me of an incident when my youngest son was four years old and
still nursing frequently. We went to the Royal Winter Fair - a large
agricultural fair in Toronto - and when we got to the cow barn, he seemed to
notice for the first time that cows had udders. There was one cow tied in
the aisle, with a whole bunch of farmers sitting around chatting. My son
walked up to the cow, bent over to get a good look at her udder, walked
around to the other side and had another look, while the farmers all watched
with grins on their faces. Finally he stood up and yelled at me "Hey mom,
this cow has four breasts and you only have two!" Well, those farmers all
nearly fell off their chairs laughing.
