Yes it's true anyone can order from the LLL catalogue but my point is I
don't think that happens but certainly LLLI would love it if it did!
Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think so. Possibly now with online ordering
except you would think people would look over the information at the site
as well.
I think what happens is that the only people that order are ones that
have either attended a meeting, have a friend that did or know a leader.
In any of those instances the person owning the catalogue has had contact
with LLL in one form or another and has undoubtably gotten good
breastfeeding information to pass along with the catalogue. A catalogue
isn't just handed to a friend, alot of conversation usually transpires.
LLL is just not that mainstream that everyone is vieing for their
catalogue. Anyway right or wrong those are my thoughts. Please prove me
wrong with statistics, I would love to know that LLL is reaching beyond
their groups and conferences.

What I was reacting to initially was the subject line: "dangerous
purchasing from LLL". I just don't think you can say that it is
dangerous to allow purchase of items from the LLL catalogue. That's it
folks...I didn't intend to start this big discussion on LLL.

Warmly, Ilene Fabisch, Brockton, MA
